Murder Drones character models for Blender 3.6+
This page contains all my Murder Drones models, I'll update them over time and probably add new ones. Having all my models here allows me to update them easily and keep track of the changes.
Manual included among the files, please read it.
More info:
All models already released have slight changes, I recommend downloading them again from here.
Some models have missing features like the hair rig or Uzi's wings and tail, these things will be added later as they are ready.
By default not all the bone layers of the rig are visible, only the most common ones in order to not saturate the viewport. You can hide/show the rest through the rigify UI or the bone layers menu.
Be sure to open the custom properties menu in the transform tab, some bones and emptys have values and checkboxes there.
Don't forget to apply the textures to the armbands, chest lights and Uzi's jacket. (Please don't forget this)
All models, materials and textures have been made by me from scratch.
If you have any questions, you can ask them here but please be SPECIFIC about your problem, and try to do your own research beforehand.
All Murder Drones rights belong to Liam Vickers and Glitch Productions. I only distribute my own 3D work for free, although there is the option to support me with a voluntary donation. In any case I'll remove that option if needed.

I Like Your Models But The Shading Is Hard For Me I Really Need Help
What do you mean by shading?
Yo! Amazing models!!! I just wanted to know if Uzi solver from ep 8 will be added :) THX for the cool models
Eventually, but it'll take time since I'm doing other stuff and also the materials for the solver parts are mostly organic which is something I'm not too used to.
Will you release the maps when you're done with them?
Hey, would it be possible to make the models a T pose in the pose position? I find it really difficult to work with models that are pre-posed? Or is there a way to set to a t-pose?
Also, why do Uzi and Doll lack the same finger bones that the D.drones have.
I wouldn't have minded but the finger curves properties don't work
Go to pose mode and hit the following keys:

A to select every bone
Alt + R to reset rotations
Alt + S to reset scalings
Alt + G to reset translations
That way you can reset every pose so it ends as the default one which is T pose in this case.
About Uzi and Doll's finger, enable the rig layer called "Fingers (Detail)" in the rigify UI. In Blender 4 you can also find it in this panel:
Thank you!
they are set in a t pose so what are you talking about?
Will you add more weapons for the disassembly drones?
Eventually I guess.
hey just wondering how do i save? i cant save the file on uzi or the DD drone. Thanks!
Sound more like a problem with your Blender instance. I had saving problems with a modified Blender version but since it was modified I expect bugs, I solved that with the "save as" option but that was my specific case with said version.
ive tried almost every way and it hasnt worked but thanks!
Hellloooo!!! Sorry for commenting alot, I'm not sure if it's annoying (I hope not) I was wandering if you could add me (Like, on discord, IG, Twitter/X ETC) Your pick, i'm fine with, So we could talk? I got a proposition, That i'd think you'd be interested in :)
Discord: omenfox2
Twitter/X: @IvanTheRussian
Reddit: u/Radiant-Pin6870 (I'm fairly active on here, Including discord)
I do hope you at thg very least, consider my offer to talk!! Have a great rest of your day!!! :)
Sorry for repeadetly asking questions n stuff, but can you add the extra lines they have on their visors in episode 8, (The eyebrow creases n stuff, please <3)
I considered it at the time but decided against it because I wanted to keep the rig understandable, adding more elements would oversaturate everything. Things like that are meant to be added manually by the user depending on what they need. It's not hard to do, just create a new plane with the shape you need and copy the modifiers of any facial elements like the eyes or eyebrows.
So I might be a little dumb but, for Uzi I see people being able to move the rest of Uzi's fingers but I'm not able to? Instead it moves the whole finger. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. (fixed uzi thing :D ) Also another thing, (Sorry for too much) how do I move their teeth? (That is if I'm even able to)The teeth are controled by a square shaped bone in front of the mouth. In its Properties you have a value that controls how open they are, you can also move, rotate and scale that bone to adjust them
Ohhhh, thank you so much :D
So, When i import her (V) She usually in the reset position, but whenever i change her to the pose position (I think that's what it was called) Her hands are missing, Is there anyway to get her hands back...? (Also how do i switch to the guns, Blade ETC)
Apparently I forgot to reset the pose before uploading the file, just select the green circle (depending on your Blender configuration it may be black or other color, I've set it to green) that follows the hands position and open its Properties tab, there you can display or hide the hands and weapons. The reason the hands dissapear is because I accidentally left them at the minimun value. I'll fix that in the next update.
Thank you!!! I can't believe i missed that T_T Thanks so much!!!
Also will you make more shapekeys for the mouth, for people who are impatient for bone-moving, i speak for like, half of the blender community
I can do that
Will you make a generic worker drone, like the ones we see in the beginning of the pilot, with the jacket and helmet?
How Do I Shade Visors?
What do you mean?
how can i make or show the weapons of the dissasembly drones appear
Hey i absolutely love the models especially Uzis but i want to know how to move the specific segments of her fingers? When i go to pose them they only move as one. I had to move each section one by themselves in the normal mode last time and it was really annoying. How do i fix it? Thanks!
You can show the individual finger controls through the rigify UI, the manual says how to make it appear. In case it doesn't work (probably in blender 4.0+) just select the metarig from the objects list and look for the option to update metarig, after that use the option re-generate rig.
If it's too complicatyed don't worry soon I'll add 4.0 versions so people don't need to do this step.
So, (Please note, that i am starting out in blender, and only know the Basics) When i rendered it, N's face was all... I honestly don't know, How do you fix that?
They work best in 4.1 , enable refraction.
How do i do that...?
hey i was just like you and still am tbh but the easiest way i found to do it is if you go to the shading tab at the top. select the face panel. then were it says like IOR and alpha, slide alpha all the way down to 0. when you render it should look correct. then for the armband being red, i changed one of the color things to vector and it worked. if it doesn’t work for you then just mess around with the settings in shading. Hope this helps!
Don't worry, it's not your fault (neither mine). The most recent versions of Blender use a new version of the EEVEE engine, which causes this problem, so far the only way I've found to solve this (not in all cases, I think) is disabling some ray tracing denoising options like "Spatial Reuse" or just disabling denoising completely.
What characters are you making next?
Lizzy is done already, just waiting for some general changes to the rest of the models.
So when I render, I'm getting issues with the mouths turning into a mass of shapes and not being smooth. I am a Novice so this could just be a simple solution but some help could be nice.

I remember encountering this error many months ago and on a single frame, so I assume the conditions for it to happen are super specific. I don't remember being able to fix it, but as an alternative you can use the viewport render image/animation option since for some reason the error doesn't appear there, although you lose certain functionalities depending on what you want to do.
I apologize for the inconvenience, the best I can recommend for now is to play a bit with the mouth modifiers or its transformations (scale, rotation and translation) since some minimal changes to these can solve some problems with the booleans it uses.
So from my tests it seems like the problem was motion blur, so I guess that's something you should look out for when updating the models
how can i make the weapons from the dissasembly drones appear, also how can i change the eyes on all the models like to make the eyes look like an 0 and the little crease line under the eyes like this, and how to make eyebrows appear and upper and under eyelids, and also by any chance do you know how i can add damptrack on the models hair bones so that the hair can move whenever i like move the 3d models?
Open the Properties tab that appears when you select any object or bone in this case, by default its collapsed. Some face bones have values that controls things like what you mentioned
I love the Uzi model! you're models are my favorite, and it was annoying not having an Uzi model to use for consistency. But I'm glad we finally have one! One thing I will note though, is that on Uzi's face rig, everything seems to be mirrored. What I mean by this is if I move one eye, it mirrors that movement to the other one. I have no idea how to turn this off.
Uncheck the option with the X
Are there more weapons added? like the rocket launcher, plasma cannons, chainsaws?
unfortunately not by the looks of it
What's the scene / lighting for the screenshots shown?
It's a 3 lights setup with some contrast and a blueish tone added, pretty simple honestly.
